City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming
Students must first complete the City & Guilds Level 2 before embarking on this course
The Level 3 Dog Grooming (7863-03) – Will provide learners with the practical skills and knowledge that is important for working as a professional Dog Groomer. You could work for a business or as a self-employed dog groomer.
There are a number of practical assessments to complete and also a written examination
Mandatory contents covers:
- Health & Safety, legislation and codes of practice for the dog grooming industry
- Styling and finishing a dog
- Health checking and handling a dog in a dog grooming environment
- Customer service and record keeping in a dog grooming environment
Assessment
The assessment for this qualification will require you to achieve:
- A written exam (2 hours) which covers the knowledge and the understanding of the qualification
- Practical assessments which cover health checks, first aid and grooming dogs with different coat types and different requirements
Price is £3,800 (inclusive of £633.33 VAT). This covers 25 days training, assessment and the written exam
If you wish to combine the Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications straight away. This can be achieved in 35 days hands on training plus some home study. The combined cost is £6,000 (inclusive of £1,000 VAT) saving you a total of £1, 600
